What is RentReadReturn?

RentReadReturn.com is an online/Internet book rental service. The service enables you to pay a monthly subscription fee for unlimited book rentals that are shipped right to your mailbox. There are 4 plans available to choose from. Each plan allows you to have a different number of books checked out at any given time (e.g..,3 at a time, 5 at a time, etc.).

How does the process work?

Using RentReadReturn is easy! Simply create a new account, then log in and begin adding books to your Queue. Your Queue is the list of books you’d like us to send to you. We process orders daily, so your books will arrive in only a matter of days. Your plan dictates how many books you can have checked out at any given time. If you sign up for the 3 books at-a-time plan, we will send you 3 books from the top 10 choices in your queue. We will make every effort to send you books in priority sequence, starting with your first choice, however as we may not have your top choice in stock, we will send you the next available book from your queue so that you get the books you want quickly!

Why did I receive a different book than the one that was next in my Queue?

Books in your Queue are processed based on the priority order you have given to them as well as their current availability. In some cases your top book may not be immediately available so the first book in your Queue that is available will be mailed to you.

What plans can I choose from?

Do I need a credit card to join?

Yes, we require a credit card to join because your account is billed monthly for as long as you use the service. You can update your credit card information at any time from your Member Profile page.

Why do I need a credit card when redeeming a gift subscription?

We require a credit card when redeeming a Gift Subscription for two reasons. First, the credit card functions as security for the books you have borrowed from us. If a book is lost or returned damaged and we need to replace it, then we're able to do so. We will always notify you if we need to charge your card for this reason. Second, we hope you will enjoy our service and want to continue when the Gift Subscription period has ended. If we have your credit card information we can extend your membership with no service interruption. However, if for any reason you do not wish to continue your membership you can easily cancel from the Member Account page. We will notify you when your Gift Subscription is about to expire so you will know when your credit card is going to be charged.

When do I need to return the books?

Keep the books for as long as you like with no late fees! All books come with pre-paid return shipping labels, so you can simply drop them back in the mail when you are done with them.

How do I return books?

The plan that you belong to will determine the number of books you are required to send back in each return shipment:

  • 3 Books-at-a-time – Return 2 books
  • 5 Books-at-a-time – Return 3 books
  • 7 Books-at-a-time – Return 3 books
  • 11 Books-at-a-time – Return 4 books

All new members will receive a RentReadReturn Welcome Kit in the mail which includes a supply of pre-paid return mailbags with labels. Your first books might arrive before the Welcome Kit. You need to return a minimum of two books in a return shipment. Put your return books in the pre-paid mailbag and just drop it in the mail. Future book shipments will usually contain these mailbags, but if you ever need more, simply email info@RentReadReturn.com.

Do I need to include any information with the book when I return it so you know it's from me?

All of our prepaid return labels include information encoded that will tell us who it's from. Just place the book in the prepaid return mailbag, drop it in the nearest mailbox, and you're done!

I lost the pre-paid return mailbag. What do I do?

Please send an e-mail to info@RentReadReturn.com and we will email you a pre-paid label that you can print out and use to return the books.

I’d really like to keep one of the books. Can I keep it?

Absolutely! If you have a book you’d like to keep, please go into your member account and click the “wish to buy” option. This will generate an e-mail to us at and we can let you know how much the book will cost and bill your account once you agree.

What do I do if the book I received was damaged?

We check the condition of the books prior to mailing them out, but in the event the books are damaged during shipment please let us know at info@RentReadReturn.com so we can update our system accordingly. Be specific about the damage (i.e., torn cover, missing page, etc.) so we know what condition to expect when it is returned.

What do I do if I accidentally lose or damage a book?

If you lose a book or it is damaged to the point of being unusable, please e-mail us at info@RentReadReturn.com and we will charge your account for the lost or damaged book; this will ensure that you get the next eligible books in your queue.

How do I change my subscription plan?

Please send an email to info@RentReadReturn.com with the new plan you'd like and we'll make the change for you. Please note, changes to a plan will not take place until the monthly anniversary date (also the monthly billing date) of your plan.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Of course we would hate to lose you as a customer, but if RentReadReturn isn’t meeting your needs, just send us a quick email to info@RentReadReturn.com and tell us you would like to cancel. We need 10 business days notice, and require that you send all outstanding books back within this time period. Feel free to send us an e-mail at feedback@RentReadReturn.com if you’d like to provide any feedback on how we can improve our service to better meet your needs.
